Device Overview

The MikroTik LHG 5 (Light Head Grid) features a 24.5 dBi grid antenna integrated directly into the wireless unit. The open grid design provides excellent wind resistance in exposed rural tower and rooftop installations.

Because the antenna element is built into the radio body, there are no RF jumper cables, eliminating cable loss and water ingress risks typical of external pigtails.

For long-distance rural links, use NV2 protocol when linking to another MikroTik AP to reduce latency and prevent packet collisions over distance.
